What is a true believer to do at a time like this?

God has given us a command to send the gospel out into the whole world as mentioned in Acts 1v8: “But the Holy Spirit will come to you. Then you will receive power. You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all of Judea, in Samaria, and in every part of the world.” This clearly means we are to warn the world about judgment day that is almost here. (Ref: John 20 v 19-22)

During the church age people including (pastors, biblical teachers, priests, and so forth) were not to know about the Lords return nor the day or the hour. However, in the book of Daniel, God put a sign indicating once the time was near the end the sealed book would be open for the true believers to understand. It’s rather obvious that God uses this information to let the world know that he is coming rather quickly. Then why should we be ashamed to come forth with it and teach others?

Mathew 11v27 says: “My father has given me all things. No one knows the Son only the father knows the son. And no one knows the father only the Son knows the father. And the only people who will know about the Father are those whom the Son chooses to tell.” This indicates that until we become saved we DON’T know the Son! So what does being saved mean? God had to have made payment for our sins from the foundation of the world. Ephesians 1 talks about this: Predestination is related to every true believer because payment for our sins was paid for by God himself. Mankind has free will to choose any religion he wants but can’t choose to become saved! (Not by baptism, accepting Christ, or confiding in a pastor.)

Romans 10v17: “So faith comes from hearing the Good News when someone tells them about Christ.” Cry humbly to God because faith makes it possible for us to be saved. Just because you have a contrite heart doesn’t mean you will become saved. Therefore, if we are trusting in the works that were doing, we will NOT become saved. It says in James 2v14: “My brothers, if someone says he has faith, but does nothing, his faith is worth nothing. Can faith like that save him?” Faith is a work and the evidence of faith is that work is done! God did all the work for all he wanted to save. Being sent to earth to carry our sins, by being crucified on the cross, and rising up again.

Diiva’s Insight: When God saves us, we will feel a change in ourselves and have an intense desire to do the will of God. Everything that we will do in his eyes will be good! There are those that claim they are saved; however, they don’t tremble before the word of God and believe what they want to believe and teach the Bible the way they think it should be taught. As true believers, we should warn the people of today about the judgment of God and if you are not sure that you are saved, then cry out to him and maybe just maybe he will have mercy on you like he did Noah and his family, the people of Ninevah, and Lot and his two daughters. Amen
